James Lavelle of UNKLE fame The self-proclaimed music geek who helped put the UK hip-hop scene on the map talks about what inspired him, how he’s always had a passion for dance music, his musical collaboration UNKLE, his music label Mo’ Wax and why it’s important to showcase new artists. Released DJ Shadow’s seminal 1996 record Entroducing; brought attention to the graffiti artist Futura 2000 by using his artwork on many Mo’ Wax releases in the early to mid 1990s; founder of trip-hop outfit, UNKLE.
